If you are driving, the journey from Edinburgh takes approximately 3.5 hours and is a lovely scenic drive. The nearest railway station is Alness. There are also overnight train services on the Caledonian Sleeper direct from London Euston to Inverness.
Having a car whilst holidaying at Redburn Steading is advisable as the nearest village of Evanton is approximately 4 miles away. In the winter months unpredictable weather and steep driveway would make a 4X4 vehicle advisable.
